Support Palestinians in Gaza
I find it so weird and honestly selfish how some content creators don't show any support for important causes like Palestine and Gaza. Anyone who creates content with the intention of making a profit is a content creator, whether they have a million followers or just a hundred. In my honest opinion, I think that anyone who is working to be a content creator should use their platform to spread awareness and support important causes. Keep in mind, I said should. I word it that way because obviously those with smaller platforms are less likely to. While it would show that they care and pay attention to the world around them, it's not really expected. Now, in my book, if your livelihood depends on your online presence, you have a responsibility to use your platform for good.
It's frustrating to see people who want to be content creators turn a blind eye to serious issues and then come up with excuses like "What can my platform do?". Your platform can do a lot. You have the power to educate, spread awareness, and inspire others to take action. Don't underestimate the impact your voice can have. Not only that, but your platform supports your glamorous lifestyle. For some creators, it pays your rent!
The most annoying thing about all of this is, content creators can still post their usual content while also supporting causes. They just don't do it. These are the same content creators that will jump at any opportunity to promote their own products, content, or lifestyles. Oh, you got a new luxury handbag? Great, but have you used that platform to support a good cause lately? Probably not. It's like they only care about support when it directly benefits them. And let's be real here, it's not just about Palestine and Gaza, this applies to any important issue that falls outside their bubble of self-promotion.
Let me clarify. This isn't about politics, it's about basic humanity. It's about recognizing your privilege and using it to make a positive impact, but some would rather protect their luxuries than help someone else out of situations they wouldn't be able to dream about comfortably--all while having the platform to do so.
